Meet the team

We're proud of our dedicated staff who really care about providing a good service. Four of our employees are landlords themselves, so we really know what landlords expect from a letting agent.

Andrew Parkinson - Proprietor

Founder and owner of the business. Andrew started letting property in 1986 and has his own portfolio of residential and commercial properties. Born in Lancaster, Andrew also worked for the Department of Work and Pensions as an I.T. manager for twenty three years.



Rosie Thomas - Office Manager

Rosie joined the business in August 2014 and is the office manager, as well as being one of our property managers, and manages all of our Barrow properties. Rosie has years of experience in lettings with local firms and prior to that she was the manager of Lancaster's branch of Nationwide Building Society.



Vivien Denby - Property & Block Management

Vivien joined the business in May 2015 as a property manager and she now manages a quarter of our portfolio as well as being in charge of block management. Vivien has a wealth of experience in estate agency in the area, before deciding to make the change into property management with Parkinson Property.



Melanie Parkinson - Property Viewer

Melanie joined the business in 2019 and is solely responsible for viewings, helping to secure new tenants for our properties. Melanie spent over 25 years in the civil service and is a landlord herself, so has plenty of experience in letting and managing property.



Susan Bradley - Applications & Compliance Manager

Susan joined the business in 2012 and manages all of our applications, compliance and coordinates new lettings. Susan has worked at Marks & Spencers gaining a qualification in customer service and then spent six years at Entwistle Green as a lettings administrator.



Karen Buckley - Property Manager

Karen joined the business mid 2018, having previously worked at Farrell & Heyworth, so she has a long history of working within the local rental sector and she currently manages around 100 of our properties.



Sue Hornshaw - Lettings Administrator

Sue joined the business in 2018 and is a valued member of our lettings team, and helps co-ordinate new lettings and applications.



Isobel Burns - Property Manager

Isobel has a wealth of experience in the lettings industry, having previously worked at Mighty House. During her career she was also the branch manager at the Furness Building Society. Isobel now manages over 100 properties with Parkinson Property.



Maria Sawicki - Lettings Assistant

Maria joined the business as an apprentice and has successfully come through the scheme. She now has responsiblity for all new enquiries, appointments and the collection of holding fees.




Richard Ryder - Fully Qualified Electrician

Richard is part of our in house contractor team, and is a fully qualified electrician and handyman who works exclusively for Parkinson Property.
